A little bit about myself.
My name is Ava Manning and I am passionate about enhancing the world through compelling storytelling and thoughtful designs.

Storytelling is in my blood. Whether on stage, in print, or alone in a room with only my vocals, I am constantly exploring new ways to share different worldviews. My love for storytelling sparked interest across mediums - from theater to articles to songwriting. It was this curiosity that inspired me to study English and journalism; for what better way to master storytelling than to dive into the art and structure of written communication?

I have since embarked on a career in writing, picking up an interest in UX Design along the way. Through studying with General Assembly, I found this to be the field where my love for storytelling and empathy merged to create impactful user experiences. I love designing with intention, and creating interfaces that feel intuitive and accessible.

I have had the pleasure of working with companies like FitX, a fitness app startup, where I worked with the founder and developers to create a truly succinct and seamless experience. In addition I have always been actively publishing my written work, with my most recent publications as a reporter for the Kitsap Sun.

I love connecting with people, so please feel free to reach out!
